Trim the nailsto the same length as the nail caps. If the nail cap is too large, you maytrim the open end of the nail cap until it fits. FOR KITTENS: Do not trimkittens claws before applying nail caps. You will need a sufficient clawsurface for the glue to adhere properly. Fill the nail cap with a littleadhesive. Never fill it too full to prevent overflow of the adhesive. Waituntil the adhesive is half-dried in the nail cap. Grasp the claws of thecat, slightly push aside the hair on the nails and expose all of them. Put thenail caps onto the claws and make sure they are completely wrapped. Wait untilthe adhesive is dry and continue with the next one. After all caps areapplied, observe the cat for at least five minutes to make sure nail caps aresecure. A good tip is to feed your cat his or her favorite food immediatelyafter applying all nail caps. Some cats will try to bite off the nail capsafter they are initially put on. If this happens, immediately stop them untilthey are used to the caps. But please dont worry, it is quite normal. If itis necessary to replace any nail caps, just take off the remaining nail capmaterials and clean the nails. Nail caps should always be replaced after 8weeks.
